SCF Celebration Series 2014

Event Details

Singapore Cycling Federation present its first celebration race event in conjunction with the Singapore National Day.

The event throw the test of ‘race of truth’ to willing riders, with an individual time trials and team time trial events to gun for.

Pit your time trialing skills against your buddies and challenger in probably the last time trial event to be held in this classic 12km lap format.

As part of the celebration, the first 50 Singapore Citizen to register for the event will have the race fee waived! *

The venue is located off Changi Airport at the eastern part of Singapore

The event requires a full road closure of  Changi Coast Road (between Aviation Park Road and Tanah Merah Coast Rd)

Individual Time Trial

Notes :

• Age is determined by the present year minus the year of birth of the competitor. Example, 2014 minus 1990 is 24yrs.
• Any category with less than 5 participants (teams) will either not start or will be combined with other categories at the organiser’s discretion.
• Participant will be required to hold an official UCI license / SCF Associate Membership 2014 for the event. Annual membership can be obtained from Singapore Cycling Federation. Day license is included in registration by default.

Team Time Trial

(3rd Aug 2014 Sunday)

• Participant will be required to hold an official UCI license / SCF Associate Membership 2014 for the event. Annual membership can be obtained from Singapore Cycling Federation. Day license is included in registration by default
• Age is determined by the present year minus the year of birth of the competitor. Example, 2014 minus 1990 is 24yrs.
• Any category with less than 5 participants (teams) will either not start or will be combined with other categories at the organiser’s discretion.
• All QUAD category racers are require to finish with at least 3 riders, while Mixed QUAD requires all 4 riders to finish.
• All DUO category requires both riders to finish.
• For 36km distance, combination of age group : the following age group will rank in priority for teams who wish to form up with a combination of different age groups

What is the deadline for registration?
Registration deadline :

29th July 2014
Late Registration Period – 30th July 2014 – 1th Aug 2014 with additional administrative fees of 20 SGD

After the deadline, DirTraction will not be accepting any registration nor entertaining race day registration, unless otherwise notified on this page.
So, please do remember to register early!

Liability waiver

• No Participant is allowed to participate in any of the events without prior agreement to the event exclusion of liability and indemnity statement.
• By registering online, you will have to agree to the event exclusion of liability and indemnity statement.
• All Participants who are below 18 years old, are required to print a copy of the event exclusion of liability and indemnity form and obtain the signature of their parents or guardians on the form. A signed hard copy will be required on the race kit collection/ race day.
• Forms will also be available at the registration secretariat but it would make things administratively faster if you could submit a signed copy.

Citizen Race Fee Waiver

*As part of the celebration, the first 50 Singapore Citizen to register for the event will have the race fee waived.

• Registration to be done purely on the online registration portal
• Nationality field to be clearly indicated during registration, you may need to produce proof when required
• Only applicable to Singapore Citizen.
• Only applicable for 2nd Aug 2014 event, Individual Time Trials.
• race fee, minus day license component, will be refund upon audit (every 7 days)
• Participant will still require UCI License / SCF Associate Member /Day license of 10SGD for the event.

  As per the UCI rules, this is a non draft legal race for time trials.
• specific rules exception :
  • that Juniors riders will not be expected to do gear ratio lock for this event.
  • skinsuit, shoe covers, and tri-top will be allowed for the event

Seatpost Tag Placement

Upon signing in at race secretariat area, the following will be given to the racer:

Follow the instruction available at race secretariat  on how to place the seat post tag.

Team Tentage & Advertising Materials

• Team tentage should only be placed in the designated area.
• Venue rules does not allow cooking.
• Team Tentage should be strictly without commercial branding, event management retain the rights to invoice such parties.
• Unauthorized distribution of promotional material paid or unpaid is not allowed.
• Teams and riders are responsible for the cleanliness of the surrounding, please asked for waste bags from our crew.
