Singapore Mountain Bike Carnival 2015 – the Nationals

Event Details

The 9th edition of the Singapore Mountain Bike Carnival will co-host the OCBC Singapore National Mountain Bike Championship 2015. Bringing the glory of the the Nationals to Lor Asrama, Singapore. the current hosting venue for the Carnival.

Unlike our usual Carnival, we will be introducing variations to our race category for 2015. On top of a 6-HOURS mountain biking marathon event, the cross country olympic format (XCO) and National Downhills events is added into the mix of event options.

After years of absent, we will be reintroducing the Youth 1 lapper race into the Carnival, while bikes and gears demo carnival will continue to offer spectators and supporting riders the chance to sample the newest offering from the industry.

 

As part of Singapore Golden Jubilee Celebration, we are offering celebratory pricing for registration fees till National Day!

26th July 2015 – 3 additional singletrack zone in addition to our popular Hill265 and Foxhole run, that’s a good 50% of the race course!

• Fat Bikes and Cyclocross Open will not be part of the Championship category.
• Riders may be asked to stop racing (counted as Lap down) so not to affect the race schedule ahead

• 6-HRS Marathon Ranking – for long rides junkies, race 6-hrs in team of two take the challenge SOLO, and clock as many laps as you can, where riders/team with the most lap wins

we have a mini outdoor demo section where one can field test the products at the race site.

for the adventurous, you may race a lap with it as well!

We will be offering additional raffle tickets for the lucky draw via outdoor demo as well. i.e.

Gear Swap

Getting rid of your gears and extra pre-owned outdoor/bike equipment?

We will be allocating an area for riders who wish to swap their gears at the Carnival.

Bring your gears, allow them to go through another round of use!

Swap Procedure / Guidelines :

1. Bring along your gears/bikes/parts
2. Grab a label from swap area, mark it with a price and contact number.
3. Place the item on display. secure it with zip tie/rope if needed
4. Hang around the event area and wait for a match!

What is the deadline for registration?
Registration deadline :

SG50 Early Bird – till 9th August 2015
Normal Registration Period – 10th August 2015 – 30th August 2015 with possible additional administrative fees

After the deadline, DirTraction will not be accepting any registration nor entertaining race day registration, unless otherwise notified on this page.
So, please do remember to register early!

 

Must I sign anything?

No Participant is allowed to participate in any of the events without prior agreement to the event exclusion of liability and indemnity statement.

By registering online, you will have to agree to the event exclusion of liability and indemnity statement.
All Participants who are below 18 years old, are required to print a copy of the event exclusion of liability and indemnity form and obtain the signature of their parents or guardians on the form. A signed hard copy will be required on the race kit collection/ race day.

Forms will also be available at the registration secretariat but it would make things administratively faster if you could submit a signed copy.

Participant shall be deemed to have read and understood the rules and regulations upon registering for the race.

 

 

If you are physically unwell or unfit , we would advise you not to participate in our events.
If you have any medical conditions that we should be aware of, please write to us and we will inform our race director.

Team Tentage & Advertising Materials

• Team tentage should only be placed in the designated area.
• Venue rules does not allow cooking.
• Team Tentage should be strictly without commercial branding, event management retain the rights to invoice such parties.
• Unauthorized distribution of promotional material paid or unpaid is not allowed.
• Teams and riders are responsible for the cleanliness of the surrounding, please asked for waste bags from our crew.
• NO Smoking within Team Pit Tentage area
