Sprint Challenge
The Sprint Challenge returns to bring the thrill of track racing, a highly difficult discipline to enter, to us mere mortals. It will feature the 500m Time Trial for those confident of sustaining their max speed and a highly charged 200m Dual Sprint for those who would rather hedge their bets on a quick explosive start and go head to head with each other.
As most racers familiar with our recent events are aware of, electronic timing plays a major role in time trial specific races like Super D and cross country races.
Dirtraction's Tag Heuer Professional Timing equipment will be making its road cycling debut at the Sprint Challenge, giving coverage on timing and splits, plus other information such as current leader, category-specific/overall ranking, etc - LIVE and with laser-like (and laser-aided) accuracy. This information will be available on a screen at the race control center near the start/finish area.
Think of it as a pedal-powered drag race. Bring on your sprinting legs, and indulge the onlookers with your track stand skills if needed.
*fixies, brakeless, track specific bikes are allowed!
and you don't really need to have an aerobar to do well.
For more Sprints fun, do sound us out for any possible tracks with tarmac/cement surfacing.
