Cyclone Race Series 2011 - Points Table

 

The Road Series and Mountain Biking Series will be tallied as two different table for 2011. (we do know of many jack of all trades out there, let's be patience)

 

 

 

 


 

 

 

 

 

Cyclone Road Series 2011 - Points Tally

FIVE events for Cyclone Road Series 2011 and TWO events for the National Road Championship will be point awarding races.

 

For Individual Time Trials, Tanglin Circuit Race, Changi Series Circuit Race, Changi Series Time Trials

Points will be awarded for the following categories based on the standard Cyclone Series Points Scale

 

Road Categories

  • Kids-D
  • Kids-C
  • Juniors-B
  • Juniors-A
  • Mens Sports
  • Masters
  • Super Masters
  • Mens Open
  • Womens Open

For Changi Series overall ranking

On top of stage points awards, points will be awarded for the following categories based on the standard Cyclone Series Points Scale


Road Categories

  • Juniors-B
  • Juniors-A
  • Mens Sports
  • Masters
  • Super Masters
  • Mens Open
  • Womens Open


For Team Time Trials
The event will contribute points towards the Road Points table :
  • the points awarded will carry a 2x weightage on the Cyclone Series Points Scale with exception of
    • No points will be awarded to the FUN category.
    • For category with 5 or more teams, Points will only be awarded to the TOP FIVE (5) teams.
    • For category with less than 5 teams, Points will only be awarded to the TOP THREE (3) teams.
  • All riders in the team time trials team will be awarded the same points.
  • The points will be credited towards individual points table based on the following priority :
    • OPEN (Mens/Womens)
    • Age Group
  • example 1 : a Masters rider who races and win the Mixed QUAD category, willscore 40 points from the Team Time Trials, in which the points will be credited to his Masters table, provided he doesn't race Mens OPEN throughout the season.
  • example 2 : a 33 year old (Sports) rider who races and win the Mens Sports QUAD category, willscore 40 points from the Team Time Trials, in which the points will be credited to his Seniors-A table, provided he doesn't race Mens OPEN throughout the season.
For National Road Championship 2011 - Mass Start and Time Trials
The event will contribute points towards the Road Points table :
  • the points awarded will be based on the standard Cyclone Series Points Scale with exception of Championship category where the points will carry a 2x weightage.
  • Categorisation for the National Championship might differs from the standard Cyclone Race Series age group category, the points awarded will be credited against individual based on the following order :
    • OPEN (Mens/Womens)
    • Age Group
  • example : a 28 year old Sports Senior (non-championship) winner in the National Championship will score 20 points from the National Championship, in which the points will be credited to his Seniors-B table, provided he doesn't race Mens OPEN throughout the season.
  • example : a Masters winner (championship category) winner in the National Championship will score 40 points from the National Championship, in which the points will be credited to his Masters table, provided he doesn't race Mens OPEN throughout the season.

Cyclone Mountain Bike Series 2011 - Points Tally

 

THREE event for Cyclone MTB Series 2011 and the National MTB Championship will be point awarding races.

Points will be awarded for the following categories based on the standard Cyclone Series Points Scale

 

Cross Country Categories

  • Kids-D
  • Kids-C
  • Juniors-B
  • Juniors-A
  • Sports
  • Masters
  • Super Masters
  • Mens Open
  • Womens Open

Cross Country Short Track

  • Points will be awarded based on Cyclone Series Points Scale, however the points will be credited to individual Cross Country category, based on the following order :
    • OPEN (Mens / Womens)
    • Age Group
  • Cross country points chasers may use short track to gain series points.
  • example : a Seniors-A cross country rider who races both Mens OPEN and Seniors-A category in the standard cross country race managed to rank in the short track event. The rider will be credited the points awarded in short track against his Mens OPEN points tally instead of Seniors-A.

 

The National MTB Championship 2011 will contribute points towards the MTB Points table :

  • the points awarded will be based on the standard Cyclone Series Points Scale with exception of Championship category where the points will carry a 2x weightage.
  • Categorisation for the National Championship might differs from the standard Cyclone Race Series age group category, the points awarded will be credited against individual based on the following order :
    • OPEN (Mens/Womens)
    • Age Group
  • example : a 28 year old Sports Senior (non-championship) winner in the National Championship will score 20 points from the National Championship, in which the points will be credited to his Seniors-B table, provided he doesn't race Mens OPEN throughout the season.

For category with 5 or more riders (teams for team event) in the start list, the following points scale will be used :

Tie Breaker


 

The order of priority for tie breaking will be as followed :-

  1. Total Points
  2. Most Win
  3. Most 2nd Placing, followed by Most 3rd Placing and so forth
